In addition to the following ongoing classes IDYC offers private one on one sessions, workshops, offsite LessStress corporate classes and private yoga parties.
Most of our classes are taught in a vinyasa (flowing) style. Modifications and developmental steps for all asanas (postures) will be given so that you can enjoy working at your own pace.
Our highly trained instructors offer students a safe and gentle approach to their practice and are respectful of each students needs and limitations.
At Inner Dance our emphasis is on community rather than competition!
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Restorative Yoga emphasizes restful poses in which the body is supported with a variety of props. Restorative yoga is for all levels and is the ideal way to achieve deep relaxation and restore depleted energy.
New Beginner Series a four week series of classes that are perfect for beginners or continuing students who want to learn proper alignment in postures and develop breath awareness. Yoga basics are taught to establish a foundation of safety in your practice.
Level 1/Gentle an ideal class for beginners as well as experienced students who happen to like a gentler, more slower pace.
Level 1 an active class promoting mind, body and spirit integration through asanas (postures), vinyasa (flow), pranayama (focused breathing) and deep relaxation.
Level 1-2 a mixed level class that continues to build stamina, strength, flexibility and concentration.
Level 2 a dynamic class introducing more advanced asana (postures) as well as extended vinyasa (flowing) sequences with a focus on alignment.
Level 2-3 an intermediate class that builds heat, endurance, flexibility and strength in more challenging backbends, inversions and arm balances. Students are expected to have a good understanding of the principles of alignment.
Level 4 invigorating and challenging advanced postures and variations.
Prenatal Yoga a class specifically designed for the journey of pregnancy which will help strengthen the uterus and pelvic muscles, aid in digestion, improve circulation, exercise the spine and increase overall comfort.
Yoga for Golfers a class specifically designed for golfers which will develop core strength and rotation, balance, focus and flexibility. No matter what your handicap, this class promises to enhance your golf experience.
Yoga Core a all levels class which will explore the way the core works and build on the dynamic action of the core muscles to create stability, strength and tone.
Yoga for Stress Management a class designed to help you develop a regular practice using movement, breath, and mindfulness to understand, cope, and perhaps even befriend stress reactions! A Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) session at the end of every class will prepare you for a peaceful night of sleep.
